Overview

BitHacks is the platform for AI projects that lead to social change. It is an online, computer science and entrepreneurship-based event that seeks to foster an environment in which hackers can learn freely while maintaining a competitive spirit. There will be guest speakers, workshops, and a coding competition. Participants will be able to work in groups of up to four people, and compete against other groups with their AI-based projects. Judges will assess projects, and winners will be announced for various categories. Winners will receive prizes.

FAQs

Is BitHacks free?

Yes! BitHacks is a non-profit, and hackers pay absolutely nothing to participate and win prizes.

What if I don't know how to code?

Anyone can attend regardless of their coding experience. We will have workshops throughout the hackathon that will teach concepts in programming, and mentors will be available to answer any questions.

What if I don't have a team?

Don’t worry! You can either work alone or find teammates using the 'Matchmaking' tab on the BitHacks challenge page on the Taikai platform.

Is there a Code Of Conduct?

You will be expected to behave appropriately and safely at all times and follow the MLH Code of Conduct.

What can I build?

Anything using AI that has the potential to have a social impact.

Who can attend?

If you are in high school or an undergrad, make sure to attend!
